Boston Bright Spots

PLAYOFF BIRTH -

The obvious bright spot for the Boston Celtics is obviously how the season has gone thus far.

They are currently sitting 6th in the Eastern Conference and in the playoffs. Obviously a lot can change from now and the end of the season, but at the worst it's safe to say a play-in spot is on the cards.

The faithful fans patience is definitely paying off, and I have no doubt they are enjoying the spoils.

TATUM ALL STAR MVP -

It goes with out saying that Jayson Tatum was a shoe in to be an all star this season, but the MVP of the All Star game is anyones to be won. Boston is rejoicing that it was our boy who took at the chocolates. After winning the All Star MVP, Tatum said at the post game interview that, "Being an all star is an honour and winning the MVP is amazing, but it doesn't change anything for me, my focus is still on the same thing, which is a championship".

Seems there aren't any distractions getting in Tatums way.

SOCHAN SHOWING SIGNS EARLY -

Jeremy Sochan, one of Bostons rookies taken in the lottery, was initially deemed more of a project and not someone who would have an immediate impact in the league. It was scouted that his defence should translate immediately, but his offence was ways away.

This has somewhat been proven wrong, as Jeremy has shown he is already a capable player.

His playmaking and overall feel for the game is great and he has shown flashes of definite shooting potential.

One of the talking points has been him changing his free throws. He now shoots them one handed and since making the transition he has upped his percentage from 45.8 earlier in the season to almost 80 now. Goes to show he is willing to learn and do what is necessary.

It seems more minutes might have to come his way going forward.

SCARY TERRY REUNITED -

Terry Rozier was reunited with his former GM in a deal, sending out Finney-Smith and Grant Williams. Although we are sad to see Grant go, who we had high hopes for, Terry is a needed piece adding some more firepower. Hopefully he has settled in.
