NSL: It Goes On
In the weighty words of poet Robert Frost, 'In three words, I can summarise all I have learned about life: it goes on.'
Tomorrow is a new day; new days have not yet presented you with a chance to make a bad decision, or take a bad beat. The new day is a chance to see things differently, do things more carefully, diligently, to dare to hope and want and dream (and not be disappointed - yet). These days keep us motivated, keep us reasonable.
Thanks to significant rule changes and heartbreaking bad luck, Portland Trailblazers happily move on to the next chapter - the 23-24 NSL season.

Time for another adventure!
The significant positional restrictions have forced the Blazers to adopt a new identity, one they haven't embraced thus far in their NSL journey: the lone big man. Jakob Poeltl, primed for a breakout season, has re-signed with the team for three years, with a player option for the fourth. Andre Drummond, the NSL champion and incumbent alpha big man on the team, has agreed to play his role off the bench, terrifying opposition rotations with his elite rebounding and finishing inside. Luke Kornet and Orlando Robinson provide the team with significant center depth.
Lebron James and Kevin Durant, the teams beloved superstars and living legends, will strictly play the forward positions for the foreseeable future. Despite their versaility not being acknowledged with these new rule changes, the team has embraced the change, excited to see them dominate wing opponents from both positions, opening up shooting, playmaking opportunities for their teammates and easier scoring looks for themselves.
The guard slots, at this stage, will be happily and effectively ran by a committee of De'Anthony Melton, Kris Dunn, Cam Reddish, Caris Levert and Corey Kispert. Spoiled for depth, the guard and wing spots will provide depth and versatile complements to James, Durant and the bigs. Each player has a different skillset compared to the others, with the combination of them ticking the boxes for both ends of the court.
Looking ahead, the team will try to find other cheap contracts, veteran players to pad out the depth chart.
