Toronto Raptors - Power Ranking

Week Rank Rating Team Record Comment
19 20 26 Tor 4-9 Baby Got Back – Sir Mix-a-Lot "Baby Got Back" is a fun, rebellious anthem celebrating fuller-figured women and challenging narrow, traditional beauty standards. In the early '90s, mainstream media often idealized thinness, but Sir Mix-a-Lot flips the script, expressing admiration for women with curvier bodies, especially larger hips and backsides. The lyrics are playful and boastful, emphasizing that real beauty comes in many shapes and sizes. Beneath its humor, the song pushes back against rigid societal norms that can make people feel excluded based on their appearance. "Baby Got Back" is not just about attraction; it’s also about empowerment — encouraging pride in natural body shapes and confidence in physical identity. Although it’s often remembered for its cheeky tone and catchy beat, its impact on conversations about beauty and representation in pop culture was significant and still felt today. Raptors have gotten their man in Brunson and he is back for the play in, will it be enough for them to make it past a couple of tough teams?
18 26 16 Tor 3-10 Poutine – It only feels right that the Toronto Raptors resemble poutine. Like this classic Canadian dish, they’ve got all the right ingredients; crispy fries, rich gravy, and cheese. However, without the right balance, it’s just a messy pile of junk food. Right now, the Raptors are still figuring out the perfect mix, but when they get it together, they’ll be serving up a dish that’s hot, satisfying, and hard to beat.
17 24 28 Tor 4-8 The Four of Cups - They've plateaued. Fans feel it. Dylan feels it. They need a shake-up, or risk drifting through irrelevance. The spark is there — wake up the sleeping Raptors at your peril.
16 9 67 Tor 8-4 This season has been a roller coaster from Dylan. Some much loved young stars were sent out for two elite veterans in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Then Steph was out of favor, then he was back, then he was gone. Left behind was KD who has looked absolutely insane ever since. Brunson is currently on the shelf but i know his presence really delights their GM. You don't want to face Dylan and the Raptors in the playoffs, mark my words. He is the best in the business when he gets to single out one opponent.
15 7 76 Tor 9-3 "Need You Tonight" by INXS This sultry track delves into themes of desire and urgency in romantic pursuits. The lyrics convey an immediate longing for intimacy, highlighting the magnetic pull between two individuals and the compelling nature of physical attraction. Dylan after trading for Brunson loses him for the next few weeks. A target long coveted by the Raps, the crowd will be chanting this in Toronto for the foreseeable future.
14 10 57 Tor 7-5 10. Toronto Raptors (Canada) The Raptors, like Canada's 'diverse economy,' have a 'multicultural roster' that contributes to their 'inclusive growth' and 'steady performance' in the league. Somewhat fitting that our only Canadian team is the Canadian economy - but the use of resources and diversive growth is apt.
13 14 49 Tor 6-6 Sniper Rifle- If there's a weapon that IS Steph Curry it's the good old sniper rifle. He's been trigger happy this season but has become more consistent at picking his spots in recent weeks. GM Dylan is biding his time this season, patient with his finger on the trigger. When will he squeeze next?
12 13 52 Tor 6-6 Toronto Raptors - "Mickey" – Toni Basil (1982) Cheerleader pop at its finest—instantly recognisable, and the Toronto Raptors have two of the best players to cheer for in Curry and Durant. They are two of the elder statesmen in the league, but they are still at the top of their game. They have taken their fans by the hearts and the hands - but a 6-6 run is not the cheerful PR result they would be looking for.
11 1 89 Tor 10-3 The Chimera 🐲🐐🦁 Why? The Raptors’ roster is a fearsome amalgamation of versatility and firepower, much like the three-headed Chimera. Lion Head (Strength): Kevin Durant’s elite scoring tears through defenses like claws. Goat Head (Endurance): Harrison Barnes and Robert Williams anchor the frontcourt with relentless rebounding and defense. Dragon Head (Firepower): Stephen Curry’s nuclear shooting breathes havoc from deep.
10 1 96 Tor 11-2 Velociraptor from Jurassic Park - Terrifying and menacing the Toronto Raptors have stalked the league, and with ferocity and cunning have been ripping the league a part. Akin to the Velociraptor, the team has been patient and in the shadows waiting to strike. You might think you can hide from them, but ultimately you are weeks away from their clutches. The talons of Curry and Durant are extra sharp, and have the ability to hurt even the largest of other predators in the league.
9 1 102 Tor 12-1 Jon Snow - who could be more admirable and just than the thought to be bastard son of Winterfell and heir to the iron throne. Jon is a natural born leader and at every different stage of his journey he seems to inspire and lead those around him, like when He joined armies that had been staunch enemies for the ages to fight a common enemy. His ending was slightly less than satisfying, but what did we expect?
8 5 75 Tor 9-2
7 16 49 Tor 6-4 King Midas - Toronto Everything he touches turns to gold, though his powers are as much a curse as a blessing. GM Dylan has been busy, and the acquisition of two of the most game-changing players in Durant and Curry is a golden combination. That touch has been somewhat problematic - akin to King Midas, not quite with the control and confidence that he would have hoped. They sit 15th on the Power Rankings, and will be hoping to turn their fortunes towards a more prosperous future.
6 20 37 Tor 5-6 Bruce (Finding Nemo) - This wasn't a perfect fit, but take a knee and let me wax lyrical as to why Dyl and Bruce can be spiritual dopplegangers. Bruce is arguably the most memorable character from Finding Nemo, in my opinion, due to the jarring juxtaposition of his physical traits and his personal beliefs - the apex predator that won't hurt anyone. No GM has more allies than Dyl; a wealth of 2k knowledge and decency, will always take time to listen and to help out. This belies his true purpose, to be the best in this league and hoist a trophy above his head, one day. Like Bruce, Dyl can suppress his killer winning instincts to a degree where he is a sought after sounding board and support person for many in the league. The kind killer.
5 19 40 Tor 5-7 The Thing (The Thing) - Unpredictable, leaving others to question themselves… who am I? Am I the next victim? Have I been infected…? With players who can adapt and change quickly, just like The Thing, the Raptors can mimic and take the form of anyone or anything. Toronto have a constantly evolving lineup, making them an unpredictable force to face. Much like The Thing, they can change and adapt, creating confusion for opponents, and the duo of Curry and Durant is truly otherworldly when at full pace and strength. Brace yourself… as 5-7 record doesn’t translate the terror of Toronto…"We are not who we are."
4 17 37 Tor 5-9 John McClane - Die Hard. Maybe Die Hard sneaks in here cause its Christmas time and people argue that Die Hard is a Christmas movie, or maybe its because John McClane is a bad ass who with reckless abandonment manages to take down terrorists and criminals on multiple occasions. I keep thinking here is another character with great quotes, but maybe that is the thing with all these characters that makes them so great.
3 15 50 Tor 6-7 Injuries to their two aging superstars SHOULD have been damning. But so far the Raps are holding their own. A true testament to how a good defense can carry you in the NSL.
2 19 31 Tor 4-5 "Just the Two of Us" - Bill Withers and Grover Washington- This team has started kind of slow in comparison to the high goals they had this season when they traded for both Durant and Curry. Based on play, there's some others producing, but it's just the two of them who are carrying most of the load.
1 10 26 Tor 3-1 This could be the worst 3-1 week of all time, with the all-time great Stephen Curry jusssst surviving the cut (he has been given a chance in week 2 to redeem himself). Kevon Looney is a huge add for the Raptors, way more impactful on the team than it may seem. They will have to wade through a few weeks with stars on the sidelines, but Dyl is a hungry and calculated in 2k as anyone. ECF should be the goal.
