Bye Blake!

The trade deadline was a whirlwind of excitement for the Indiana Pacers.  They were first approached by the Utah Jazz about a possible deal involving Blake Griffin and Bojan Bogdonovic.  The Pacers front office have always been fans of Bojan, so the deal was enticing.  The problem was surrounding the fact that the team had to send out almost every big man on the roster in order to accommodate the trade.  This put the team in a bind, but eventually, a deal was cut:

The Indiana Pacers send Blake GriffinJosh Okogie and Zeke Nnaji to the Utah Jazz. The Utah Jazz send Andre IguodalaBojan Bogdanovic and Will Barton to the Indiana Pacers.
The Indiana Pacers send a 1st-Rounder (Was)2nd-Rounder (Ind) and 2nd-Rounder (Utah) to the Utah Jazz.

The Indiana Pacers receive 10 GM points. The Utah Jazz trade -10 GM points.

As you can see, the Pacers gave up some youth and picks in the deal, but Iggy and Barton back was a nice top to the cake as they say(do they?).  The team was immediately approached by multiple teams regarding Bojan and Barton, and this was somewhat unexpected.  The deal also put the Pacers around $5 million more over the luxury cap, causing the lux tax to spike to 65 GM points!  The team had to make another move.

Enter the Kings and the Celtics, both teams wanted something from the deal I had just made, the Celtics wanted Beasley, the Kings wanted TJ, Atlanta was in the deal b/c we needed to cut salary and they  needed to add salary.  Ultimately, the team did not want to give up on Malik Beasley, but Eric Gordon might be healthier earlier, and can do similar things.  Cutting salary was a top priority.  Also, TJ Warren is another favorite of the front office.  Ultimately the two deals looked like this:

The Boston Celtics send T.J. Warren and Carsen Edwards to the Indiana Pacers. The Chicago Bulls send Eric Gordon to the Indiana Pacers. The Indiana Pacers send Andre Iguodala and Malik Beasley to the Boston Celtics. The Indiana Pacers send Terrance Ferguson to the Chicago Bulls.
The Chicago Bulls send a 2nd-Rounder (Por) to the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics trade -5 GM points. The Indiana Pacers receive 5 GM points.

The Atlanta Hawks send Yuta Watanabe to the Indiana Pacers. The Indiana Pacers send Justin Jackson to the Atlanta Hawks. The Indiana Pacers send Will Barton and T.J. McConnell to the Sacramento Kings. The Sacramento Kings send Eric Bledsoe and Chris Silva to the Indiana Pacers.

Final new additions:

Eric Bledsoe, Chris Silva, Carsen Edwards, T.J. Warren, Eric Gordon, Bojan Bogdanovic
