State of the franchise.
With the end of the
regular season fast approaching and the Clippers in what can only be described as a free fall
the GM is coming to the distinct realization that changes need to happen sooner
rather than later, exactly how many and how drastic ? well who knows, but it
could very well be on the more drastic scale of changes.
It is a proven fact the
team goes just as far as Giannis takes them and the GM is frustrated being recognized as a one man team. While the team as a whole isnt in complete
disarray and has a number of young prospects and draft picks to call upon it is
not quite balanced the way I�d like
�the team right now is on
a treadmill, however it�s easy to forget that we have lost our starting PG (Ricky
Rubio) and 6 man (Colin Sexton) which makes it tough
One thing I can claim to
be though is patient, I�ll never trade out of FOMO or make irrational emotional
decisions everything is always a calculated move and done to suit the direction
of the franchise if it takes 1 month or it takes 12 months then so be it�
A recent comment by a
fellow western conference rival �Giannis
has wonderful stats but his team don�t care about winning� is well just
ludicrous to be blunt, if the Clippers �Didn�t
Care� than Giannis would�ve been jettisoned before the deadline for a smorgasbord
of draft picks or an oft injured former all-star yet here we at the beginning
of week 18 on 43 wins (imagine if I cared about winning)
Regardless of the bias
against the Clippers we will stay the course and make the decisions that need
to be made when the right time arises.
A few thing we are happy
about is the progress of young star RJ Barrett whom since the All Star break
has averaged 26.1 pts 6.1 rebs and 4.2 asts 33% 3�s and 41% fg
RJ also became only the
8th player in NBA history to have tallied 2000 points 500 rebounds
and 300 assists by the age of 21 other 7 Garnett, Bryant, Mcgrady, LeBron,
Anthony, Durant and Doncic. Yes it�s a manufactured stat but it�s still cool and ill run with it.
Let�s not forget Corey
Kispert, not the flashiest player in the league but knows his job and does it
well with more opportunity arising in the NBA Corey has been stellar as a glue
guy and shooter for the Wizards raising his 3pt % to 40 and FG % to 50 is the
beginning of a long career
