The Best Yet?

If the season finished today, the Bucks would take the 4th spot and home court advantage into the Eastern conference playoffs. This would be the highest placing ever for a team with DazMan at the helm.

In 13ish seasons, Daz's previous best finish was 6th and as you can expect, his team has never won a playoff series.

So the 2021-2022 season is certainly on track to be the best yet for Daz, with his fresh faced Bucks squad.

The team has clinched a play-in berth, and are hopeful that over the next week or so they will have clinched a permanent playoff spot.

The squad is relatively healthy, have just completed their first undefeated week of the season, and are starting to peak at the right time.

We know its often folly in sports to look beyond your next opponent, but its hard not to start getting excited about the playoffs and start to imagine who we might face.

Right now the two teams looking most likely to finish 5th are the 6th placed Cavaliers and the 7th placed Magic. Both teams provide very polarising threats to the Bucks, and yes they both will be threats. The season series against both teams are tied 2-2, and with the Bucks owning a much better road record than home record, who knows if home court advantage would even help us.

The Cavaliers are one of the best defensive teams in the league and have many guys who can really disrupt an offense and shutdown an opposition's star. While the Magic are a talented offensive team, boasting a superstar back court and with shooters everywhere that really stretch the floor.

A playoff series against either team would be tough and likely go down to the wire.

However win or lose, any playoff experience is good experience for this Bucks team, knowing they are probably just outside the group of real championship contenders this season. As one of the younger teams in the league, they know their time is probably still ahead of them.

Let's go Bucks!
