Emerging Clippers

The Emerging clippers
Seeing a players you
drafted take a leap is a fun moment when building a team and can quite
literally change the entire outlook of a franchise
thats something Ive
seen recently in not only RJ Barrett but Trey Murphy III, Corey Kispert and
even Usman Garuba. None of the aforementioned are the super hyped up Phenoms that
gain a cult following but they are doing the job thats required of them.
RJ Barrett
In 2021/22 season to
date has averaged (NBA)

20
Points

5.9 Rebounds

2.9
Assists
And more impressively since All Star break (NBA)

25.8 Points

6.6 Rebounds

3.7 Assists
RJ has improved his shooting % across the board with splits of 41 / 33 /
75 pretty impressive for someone who could theoretically still be a senior @
Duke but instead becoming the face of a big market franchise.
Corey is another who just flies under the radar, not exciting to watch
and likely never will be but one thing is for certain he knows how to play
basketball.
Since the All-star break, and the season ending for Bradley Beal Corey
has become the starting SG for the Wizards playing 31 minutes per game and
averaging 11 points as a role player shooting 48% from the field 38% from 3 and
80% from the line.

To date in the NSL Corey Ranks amongst rookies
1st Minutes played
1st total points
2nd points per game
1st 3 Point shots made
1st 3 point shots attempted
Of the three rookies Trey was probably the most hyped particularly after
his performances in the NBA summer league. And well thats where his season
stalled. Until recently when Trey erupted for a career high 32 points followed
up quickly with a 21 point outing
Trey coming into the league was a collegiate 50/40/90 player if he can
find that mojo in the NBA the sky is the limit for the 68 SG/SF
Usman Garuba
It has been a slow burn for Usman in the NBA, with plenty of time in the
G League. What Usman lacks in offence he more than makes up for on defence both
on the perimeter and in the post which is somewhat reflected in the NSL against
other rookies avg 1 Block per game (5th) and .7 steals per game (2nd)
