By the time the 2022 NSL draft roll around the LA Clipper
having already ruthlessly dumped several players will have a roster of 9 with 2
1st round draft picks 17 and 22 and some serious holes to fill on depleted
roster

Sexton, Corey Kispert, David Nwaba, Jaylen Nowell

Small Forwards � Giannis Antetokounmpo, Trey
Murphy, Lamer Stevens

Power Forwards � Domantas Sabonis, Isaiah
Roby, Usman Garuba
�
Centre � Luka Garza
It is easy to see the needs of the franchise the question
remains how to fill them. whether through the draft, free agency or trade the
sticking point and something of a common theme amongst NSL team will be salary
If going the draft route,
do we draft for need or best player available, with glaring holes at point
guard and centre drafting for need may just be the only correct answer
Having watched the NBA draft some of the draft candidates
that may be in or around the area the clipper is picking?

Dalen Terry? possibly who would say no to
a 6�7 200lb point guard?
�
Walker Kessler? a throwback centre who
live in the paint quite literally blocking shots at will
�
TyTy Washington? 6�3 crafty point guard
out of Kentucky, draft stock fell when it looked like he was about to feint on
stage?
�
Jalen Duren? a physical specimen with an
enormous wingspan and a thunderous array of dunks in his arsenal
Once draft scouting actually begins or a trade actually
happens this list may change considerably based simply off of team needs
Regardless of the route the clippers take during the draft,
it will as always be a careful and considered process.
Trade is also a possibility but as mentioned above its not
something that will be done for the sake of it. In recent times Giannis name
keeps popping up in trade talks but will only be considered when the right deal
comes along.
RJ Barrett and Domantas Sabonis have also featured in recent
trade offers with nothing eventuating to date.
Talks expected to resume when the Clippers GM resumes duties
post-holiday period
Congratulations to the NSL champions Jmac and the Portland
Trailblazers it will take some almighty effort to topple these giants and could
be the sole reason to re-tool the roster for a run down the road. This GM wants
a dynasty team and we know that takes time..
