Season Ahead
Free agency having now been run and won (or lost) and the NSL on the precipice of season 2022/23 the LA Clipper can resume the long yet rewarding task of turning the team touted to be a negative 40 wins this season (places the franchise at an estimate of 13wins) in a position to beat those not so lofty expectations
the moment two key players in Giannis and Sabonis where traded the narrative around the clippers franchise changed from a one man team to a tanking team
I can assure everyone I will not be out to manufacture losses I will be out to beat expectations which at this point sits at 14wins
if however the season does naturally suck and the team is in a position to draft �The Alien� Victor Webenyama or Scoot Henderson. I say hell yeah to that
I will re-iterate losing will not be manufactured.
Post Free agency where the team added nobody (equalling the success of previous free agency periods without spending a shit tonne of GM) we sit with a full roster 15 man roster and one 2way player
Point Guards � RJ Barrett, Ayo Dosunmu, Jalen Williams
Shooting Guards � Bennedict Mathurin, Evan Fournier, Pat Connaughton, Corey Kispert
Small Forwards � Trey Murphy, Kelly Oubre, Duncan Robinson
Power Forwards � Paolo Banchero, PJ Washington, Tari Eason
Centre � Dwight Powell, Daniel Theiss
It is easy to see the franchise lacks class but we feel like the bones and raw potential is their to put at-least a few wins on the board over the course of an 82 game season
what you see will also unlikely be what the team resembles at the back end of the season with the roster considered to be extremely liquid
Players along the lines of Oubre, Robinson, Washington, Theiss and Fournier very likely to be moved along even the once was considered untouchable RJ Barrett has featured in some recent trade discussion.
