Off-season Trades

Its a new season and there are some new faces on our Orlando Magic.

To lead you all the way there will be 3 articles to show how we get to the team as it is at the moment:
Part 1: Off-season Trades
Part 2: Rookies
Part 3: Free Agency

2022-23 season .. Lets go Magic!

There was 5 Trades in the Offseason...we will have a look.

22/06/30 - to ORL: Davion Mitchell, 2nd to CLE: Daniel Gafford, Vernon Carey Jr.

This one was a preparation deal for the next one .. same trade partner, same day ;)
Size for Playmaking two talented young players traded for each other.
With Davion Mitchell Orlando got a young point guard with a lot of upside.

22/06/30 - to ORL: Jarrett Allen, to CLE: Dejounte Murray

The main deal sent Orlandos Co-Star Dejounte Murray away for one of the leagues best young big man Jarrett Allen. With Jarrett Allen an All Star Big men joined the Magic. So there will be a great Combo of Young as out PG and Allen as out C. The 2 PG lineup worked to a certain point, but this should be the way better combo ... at least in theory ;)

22/07/10 - to ORL: JaMychal Green, 2nd to SAC: Jae Crowder
Two forwards traded for each other, with an additional 2nd for Orlando. Not much to say about this one, especially as Green decided to join a different team in free agency.

22/07/10 - to ORL: Aaron Gordon, to POR: Lauri Markkanen, Marko Simonovic, 2 2nds

Gordon is the second defensive Big man on this new looking Orlando team. He came to the Magic in exchange for Markkanen, Simonovic and a 2nd.

22/11/08 - ORL: Georges Niang, GMs to POR: R.J. Hampton, 2nd

As the free agency has not worked as planned, too much guards joined the Magic at that time. So this deal send Hampton away to bring a little more size and 3 point shooting. As Hamptons option was declined and his development seems to stagnate he was seen pretty equal to guards like Sumner and Lee.

As the first week is already behind us the Magic started with a 1-3 record, what is not the start we hoped for...but it is still a long way to go, so lets hope for better results soon :)
