Under New Management
- NSL Champion
- Most Valuable Player
- Finals MVP
- GM of the Year
These are just a few of the accolades the Milwaukee Bucks achieved in the 2023/24 season. In a surprising twist, GM Daz left the Milwaukee Bucks to take over the struggling Golden State Warriors. To be fair, if our favourite NBA teams became available in this fantastic league, it would be hard for anyone to turn them down. The Milwaukee Bucks’ success under GM Daz’s leadership was unparalleled, making his departure all the more surprising. His decision to join the Warriors, a team in desperate need of revival, showcases his ambition and willingness to embrace challenges.
We want to wish GM Daz all the best in his new venture with the Warriors. The Western Conference is an absolute bloodbath, with numerous teams in contention to make it out every year. However, if there is any GM capable of bringing the Warriors to contention, it’s undoubtedly Daz. His strategic acumen and ability to build winning rosters will be put to the test, but his track record speaks volumes about his capabilities.
The Direction:
Our direction remains unchanged: we aim for sustained success and to compete for championships year in and year out. With the young star duo of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Evan Mobley, we believe we have a foundation to build around for the next 10+ years. Shai’s dynamic playmaking and scoring ability, combined with Evan’s defensive prowess and versatility, make them one of the most promising tandems in the league. It would take a godfather offer to move SGA and something really impressive to get Evan out of a Bucks uniform.
Paul George will be returning on a 4-year deal. While the number is big, the impact is equally significant. PG13 is a legitimate 2-way star who can score from all three levels and is quite elite from outside. His experience and leadership will be invaluable to our young core. We are willing to listen to offers on him if there is something that can work for us or provide a little flexibility.
Myles Turner could be moved, as we have some depth in the front court and will look to bolster it further via free agency. Turner’s shot-blocking and floor-spacing abilities are highly valued, but we are open to exploring options that could strengthen our roster.
Ultimately, we are in no rush. We can run it back without hesitation, but the door is always open and there’s always a seat at our trade table if someone would like to chat! Our commitment to excellence and willingness to adapt ensures that the Bucks will remain a force to be reckoned with.
I know I have big shoes to fill here in Milwaukee, but am dedicated to doing whatever it takes to put wins on the board and trophies in the cabinet!
GO BUCKS
