Orlandos MVP
Most people think Trae Young should be the MVP of the Orlando Magic.
He is maybe the first player who comes to mind when thinking about the Magic
And yes...maybe he should be...
But wait: there is Jarrett Allen, who came to Orlando via Trade in the Offseason.
And he took over the team and ranks top in several categories in the NSL.

He is ranked in the Top 10 of the league (#6).
He is #1 in Field Goal percentage with 72%.
And in the categories Defensive Rebounds per Game (#6), Offensive Rebounds per Game (#8) and Rebounds per Game(#5) he is also inside the Top 10 of the league.
His PER is a solid 26,7 and his EFF is 34.
He is the anchor of the team and the defensive stability together with defensive specialist forward Aaron Gordon.
Both joined the Magic in the offseason. Trading for Allen seems to pay off.
But there is still work to do...why there are so much less Ws than expected with that team so far this season?
Is Young the solution or the problem? Where is room to improve and what can be the next steps.
A lot of open questions that need to be answered better sooner than later...we will see
The great thing is, Allen can be with the team for the next 3 years with his very salary friendly contract. This is a pretty good deal for his performance on the court. Youngs money will be more than two times of Allens money in the upcoming years.
Gordons payroll is equal but his impact is not the same.
And you know what? Allen is only 24 years of age...so there is some room to grow and we are excited to have a front row seat.
Stay tuned Magic fans...after a week with a lot of injuries we hope this week gives us some Ws!
